Here are just a few of the highlights to look forward to: * NASA’s Artemis I moon mission is scheduled to launch in February. This will be the first test flight of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft, which will eventually take humans back to the Moon. * SpaceX is planning to launch its first private astronaut mission to the International Space Station (ISS) in January. The Inspiration4 mission will send four civilians to the ISS for a multi-day stay. * China is also planning to launch its own manned mission to the Moon in 2023. The Chang’e 6 mission will collect samples from the lunar surface and return them to Earth. These are just a few of the many exciting things happening in the world of spaceflight in 2023.
