HEY Calendar added a surprise feature to get approved on the App Store.

Basecamp’s new app HEY Calendar was rejected by Apple for the same reason as HEY Email: it doesn’t offer any free features and requires users to subscribe through the company’s website.
To get the app approved, Basecamp added a free feature to the app that shows past Apple special events.
Apple approved the app after the update.
